Atlas and the mystery of Uranus

In 2013 I had the idea to write up a story that I had been telling my kids since I started to work for CERN. How can you simplify such invisible and abstract notions as particles, speed of light, universe, big bang, accelerators etc for pre-school aged kids?

The answer for me to create a series of two stories of Atlas, the epic Titan that holded the universe on his shoulders. I thought that visualising such complex terms would help them use their imagination to "reach" to the science that we do at CERN.

"Atlas and the Mystery of Uranus" was born. You can find the book in Amazon by searching for the title or simply click http://www.amazon.co.uk/Atlas-mystery-Uranus-Konstantinos-Papastergiou/dp/1492120790/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451660233&sr=8-1&keywords=papastergiou#
